What Oye?

The sole purpose of all forms of yoga is spiritual-realization. A common misconception is that yoga is merely stretching. But while stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating a balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits.

What More Oye?

Yogacara came about as a means to be able to slow down life's pace so that we may learn how to listen.Yogacaraspractice of yoga focuses specifically on traditional and classical forms of yoga.

In the first level, participants are trained on the ability to perform the asana correctly at the anatomical level, where body balance and movement are of prime importance.

In the next level, one starts to experience changes in the body. This is when participants are trained to practice the asanas along with meditation and reflective attention.This is when the mind starts sensing the various organs of the body. This is a crucial stage as the mind starts reacting to our external self.

Most of the asanas involve static stretching of the muscles which brings about proper muscular tone. These asanas also increase flexibility of the spine, make the back and spinal muscles strong, eliminate pain and stress, and stimulate vital organs in the thoracic and abdominal cavities. This further result in a stronger and rejuvenated body.
