Salsa is a Latin dance form with origins from the Cuban Son (circa 1920s) and Afro-Cuban dance. Today there are many various styles of salsa dancing because of geographical dispersion and cultural syncretism. Salsa is typically a partner dance, although there are recognized solo forms (Floor Shines/ Shines), line dancing etc. Salsa is now flourishing in India, as it has around the World
